A few weeks ago, during the staff board meeting, a discussion on Halston began. The editor in chief proclaimed "the world needs a Halston relaunch." We all agreed. But...is this really what we had in mind? I have to say I am a bit disappointed.
Last night, Halston had their after-party at Don Hill's, on the corner of Spring and Greenwhich. This is the same place that does MisShapes and a bunch of other shitty parties for those not old enough to legally drink. I guess Halston was trying to appeal to a younger crowd? I refused to go. I cannot help but feel that Halston is turning over in his grave at all of this.
I guess one cannot expect more from a company backed by Harvey Weinstein and Rachel Zoe...
